Quite ungraceful, Princess Polly is very impulsive, petulant, spoilt and extremely nutty. She lives in the magical land of Alphabeticus and is about to become queen. However, she has a heightened sense of entitlement and believes she can rule without knowing how to read and write. When the alphabet is stolen by the Earl of Greynessness and taken to the Forgotten Land, Alphabeticus begins to die. This makes Polly realise the importance of the alphabet and so she undertakes a journey with Sir Roughie de Hound to retrieve it and bring life back to her realm.
